Welcome To The Absolute Worst GoFundMe Cause EVER!
UPDATED JUNE 27TH 2019: Catalin Onc, the inked half of the combined Instagram couple called Another Beautiful Day, has decided to quit social media in favor of doing some soul searching after absorbing some unexpected (and often hilariously detailed) backlash since asking their followers to finance their next vacation.
In a new post entitled “Look Within“, which is unsurprisingly tattooed on his face, Onc explains that stepping away from social media will be “the hardest thing he’s ever done mentally and physically.” (So apparently, this guy doesn’t challenge himself very often)
“Just me and my brain out there.”…Sounds like Onc will be in a very lonely place…
If you are looking in his rambling post for the part where he promises to get a job and payback his poor mom, who he admits has been working 2 jobs to pay for his perennial glob trotting, let me save you some time: It isn’t there.
Since this post, he has actually already posted a couple times to their Instagram account, so I am not sure if the hiatus is already over, has yet to begin, a publicity stunt or if he just needed a second away to get another tattoo.

At the end of the day, one look at this guy tells you that the elevator probably isn’t going to the top floor.
This is just another case of super inflated self-worth and ego brought along via social media. A person gets a couple followers and suddenly thinks they are the celebrity stars of their own reality TV program and the rules and social norms of society no longer apply to them.
Their comments on their GoFundMe page “We could model and make fast money, but we don’t want to advertise consumerism. A normal job at this point would be detrimental.” and “When you have the impact we do on others’ life, getting a job is not an option.” says all you need to know about the level of delusion that these random Instagrammers live in.
Although Onc posted the good bye letter on their joint Instagram account, there was no confirmation of the social media withdraw from his girlfriend Elena Engelhardt.
ORIGNAL ARTICLE
The Instagram couple (which is not-so-secret code for a “wannabe celebrity couple”) of Elena Engelhardt and her husband/mobile ink storage container Catalin Onc, have created a GoFundMe account for working people to pay for their lavish travel plans to Africa.

The raised funds would go “towards the bike and gear, food and accommodation” as well as internet and SIM cards to keep their following in the loop on their “huge adventure”.
They say they can easily get jobs as models but they do not want to promote consumerism (I giggled a little while typing that). How noble of them.
Per Catalin: “Some will just tell us to get jobs, like everyone else and stop begging. But when you have the impact we do on others’ life, getting a job is not an option.” (Which sounds to me like code for “No one would hire my dumb butt”)
But this gets better.
So instead of finding jobs, they currently rely on his mother to work multiple jobs to support them!

Catalin explained: “At this very moment, my mother is funding us, she works two jobs and has not much herself. We didn’t ask her for money but she loves that she is able to help.”

The couple hope to ease the burden on his poor mother by raising at least 9,000 British Pounds (Approx $11,450 USD) from fans whom, I guess apparently support the same consumerism that these lazy morons refuse to promote…
At the time of this writing they have currently raised 652 Pounds ($828 USD), which is approximately 651 Pounds ($827 USD) more than I hoped they would raise. My faith in humanity is quickly being drained…
They did a far better job raising hilarious comments than actual funds on their GoFundMe page.
Ranging from Lorenzo‘s helpful tip of “If you repurpose this to “vasectomy” you’ll get 40K easily” to Kristie‘s comment of “Oh get bent.”

Seriously check it out, the comments are gold!

Am I being too harsh on this couple by simply wanting to see them pay their own way? I will admit my opinion on him is perhaps unfairly negatively influenced by the amount of ridiculous tattoos.
I mean, I really want to go back to Tokyo but I don’t expect other people to pay for it. What do you people think? I will admit my opinion on him is perhaps unfairly negatively influenced by the amount of ridiculous tattoos.
What do you think? Let me know in the comments below.
I can’t believe this! That couple should work to afford their trip.

I don’t think both of them are serious, really.

Serious or not, they have raised over $800!

Wow. I hope this couple is joking, but from the looks of it, I don’t think so if they’re raising money. These adults need to find themselves jobs and learn to support themselves, not from their mom who is breaking their back.

With so many weird things every day on Social Media, this is one doesn’t shock me. Another warning for the future of our society

This is sad, but yet funny that they think they are better than those who work, yet are begging from those they think they are better than!
Man, what a twisted world we live in! 😂

It is sad that people have actually donated to this fund. These people need to work while they grow their “brand” like everyone else. 🤨

I find that there’s a Go Fund Me for everything these days, and it’s ridiculous. At what point did society shift to think that it’s okay to ask for help with everything without putting an honest effort in ourselves? I’m 100% on board donating to worthwhile causes – families hit with cancer diagnosis, unexpected deaths in the family, etc – but I would say 3/4 of the Go Fund Me pages I come across today just make me roll my eyes.

I think the saddest part is that leaving social media and taking a walk is the hardest thing he’s ever done physically. I think a show where Mike Rowe kidnaps them and takes them along to work on Dirty Jobs would be hilarious. You know they’ll hit the ground bawling with the first blister haha.

That is a show I would watch! Love Mike Rowe. If he ever decided to run for president, he’d have my vote

I do love a good update to a story! They are utter buffoons and a set of ‘life’s takers’. What did they expect to happen? Considering the way the world is, did they really expect people to have pity on them and their lifestyle? My heart utterly bleeds for them – oxygen theives and the reason why true influencers who have integrity are given a bad name! 😦 Sim

Wow. What a pair of ego-centric knobheads. I didn’t know whether to laugh or scream whilst reading this (I ended up going for a mix of both) as it’s just so ridiculous and vapid. Ugh. I hate them and pity everyone giving them money.

It’s hard to believe what some people will do for money, but I wonder if they aren’t really kidding and doing this for publicity. If that is their true objective, it may have worked because something this outrageous is bound to get people talking.

Man you and me are on the same wave length. Awesome post. Some people are interestingly enough a bit dense. So surprised that some people actually have no problem that they are burdens to his poor mom.
