Every week when Lil’ G-Man and Geeky Daddy arrive at Goldfish Swim School for our swim lessons, the other parents are guaranteed to see two things:
A super cute baby
And my horrible “farmer’s tan.”
Grayson loves going through the songs, exercises and games. Getting his head dunked in the water, kicking his little legs and splashing his arms are always cute to watch and it is amazing to see how much more comfortable he is in the water compared to just a few short months ago.
This week, Grayson’s swim instructor Arman had a special treat for us: A water slide!
I will be honest, I was a little nervous about catching him at the bottom. I am not the most coordinated dude on the planet (you will never see me playing receiver for the Lions), but I also knew the instructors (who are always around and easy to spot in the bright orange rash guards) would not let anything bad happen to my little swimmer.
It reminded me of the “trust falls” we did at a company retreat a few years ago with a former employer of mine. I trace my trust issues back to that company retreat…or at least to the concussion I left the retreat with…
