Wizard Magazine, the best thing to happen to the comic book industry in the 1990’s, officially announced their return today!
Previously, we reported that someone had purchased the rights to the publication, but little was known about what their publishing plans were. Would it be online only? Monthly publication? A YouTube channel?
BleedingCool got the scoop again on Wizard’s plans (which makes sense seeing that a pair of Wizard alum William Christensen and Mark Seifert are on their team).
While we don’t have a confirmed released date, the official lunch will coincide with the Wizard World Chicago convention.
We now know that Wizard Magazine will be returning as a quarterly magazine and a digital daily video news service, WizPop!
It will be quarterbacked by Nerdist alumni Brian Walton as Editor-In-Chief and Luke Y. Thompson as Associate Editor.
Familiar columns such as Casting Calls and Drawing Board will join all new content by a crop of new authors, as much of the previous staff are employed throughout the comic book industry (many at DC).
