In honor of Comic-Con, Amazon created a “geek boutique”. Since they just kind of threw together every geeky toy they could think of, Geeky Daddy curated the list for the best of the best that every geek needs.
Risk: Game of Thrones Board Game
It’s a little pricey at $59.93, but Game of Thrones made into a Risk game is just too perfect! You can fight for the Iron Throne with a bit less blood and gore with two custom-designed game boards and seven armies from which to choose. Which house will you pick to gain control over Westeros?
Marvel Guardians of the Galaxy Dancing Groot
Lil’ G-Man loves dancing to the Guardians of the Galaxy soundtrack, so it makes sense that Baby Groot does too! This dancing Baby Groot dances to clips from Guardians of the Galaxy: Volume 2 songs, or can dance to your own playlist. His eyes light up and he dances to the music. He also says over one million phrases, although they all sound the same: “I am Groot.” And while this is really meant for your little one to dance with, I won’t judge any adults who need Baby Groot in their lives.
Funko Pop! Toys
Nearly half of the listings in the Geek Boutique are those cute little Funko toys. Lil’ G-Man has an ewok for his Star Wars themed nursery, but they come in every pop-culture geek theme you can think of. The little plastic figures (they call them action figures, but I think they’re more for display purposes) range from Wonder Woman to Overwatch to Game of Thrones (you can get Dany on a dragon!). They’ve also just launched some Scrooge McDuck ones for all you Duck Tales fans.
Funko Pop! Conor McGregor
With the much (over) hyped fight between Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather coming up on August 26th, anything with Conor’s name (or likeness) has been super popular.
While I do not see the resemblance between the Funko UFC Conor McGregor and the real thing, this collectible has been flying off the shelves.
Darth Vader Apron
Be the (Dark) Lord of the grill with this Darth Vader Apron!
The manufacturer ICUP (which sounds pretty funny when you spell it out loud) actually makes a number of cool character aprons, such as Han Solo, Captain Kirk and Batman, but none are more intimidating than the excellently detailed Dark Lord of the Sith.
DC Super Hero Girls Harley Quinn 12″ Action Doll
Has there been any DC Comics anti-hero character more popular over the last half decade than Harley Quinn?
This detailed and fully posable 12″ doll is from the kid friendly DC Super Hero Girls collection. Although Mattel has done an excellent job revamping their Barbie line to make the Barbies more realistic and diverse, if I had a daughter, I would still rather see my girl playing with the Super Hero dolls than Barbies.
