I have been looking forward to The Orville trailer for a while and was not disappointed!
A Star Trek parody in the spirit of Galaxy Quest (which was a terrific movie by the way) created and starring Seth MacFarlane (Family Guy) and directing by Jon Favreau (Iron Man)! Holy Cow!
The trailer looks hilarious! It brings to mind great sci-fi parodies of the past, such as Galaxy Quest and Spaceballs.
Per Fox, “THE ORVILLE is a one-hour science fiction series set 400 years in the future that follows the adventures of the U.S.S. Orville, a mid-level exploratory vessel. Its crew, both human and alien, faces the wonders and dangers of outer space, while also dealing with the familiar, often humorous problems of regular people in a workplace…even though some of those people are from other planets, and the workplace is a faster-than-light spaceship.”
The Orville is scheduled to debut this Fall on FOX.
