Richard Hatch, best known as Captain Apollo from the original Battlestar Galactica, has lost his battle with pancreatic cancer at age 71.
He is the only actor to appear in the original Battlestar Galactica and the SyFy channel reboot. He has also been seen in various other TV programs including Love Boat and Baywatch.
I met him at the Motor City Comic Con a couple years ago, along with other members of the original cast Dirk Benedict and Herbert Jefferson Jr.
Hatch is survived by his son Paul.
